ProEnd Editor requires your acknowledgment of the following policies. Use the tabs to read each document. All three must be reviewed before proceeding.

Age Requirement: ProEnd Editor is intended for users aged 13 years or older. By continuing, you confirm you meet this requirement. If you are under 13, you must not use this software.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using ProEnd Editor ("the Software"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must not use the Software.

Age Restriction: The Software is strictly intended for individuals who are 13 years of age or older. Use by anyone under 13 is prohibited.

2. License Grant

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use ProEnd Editor for personal or internal business purposes.

You may not sell, sublicense, rent, or lease access to the Software.
You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software.
You may not remove or alter any proprietary notices on the Software.

3. Permitted Use

You agree to use ProEnd Editor only for lawful purposes. You must not use it to process, create, or distribute content that is illegal, harmful, abusive, defamatory, obscene, or that exploits or harms minors in any way.

4. User Content

You retain all rights to the video files you process. The Software processes files locally on your machine. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the necessary rights to process any media you use.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Software is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

ProEnd Editor does not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free operation. Always keep backups of your original files before processing.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ProEnd Editor and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Software.

7. Modifications & Termination

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We may also terminate your license if you violate these Terms. Continued use after modifications constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Overview

All video processing is performed locally on your device. Your media files are never uploaded to any external server or third party by the Software itself.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

ProEnd Editor does not collect, transmit, or store your video files, personal identification, payment information, location data, biometrics, or any tracking or analytics data.

2. Local Processing

All editing operations run on your local machine via FFmpeg. Files are stored in backend/uploads/ and backend/outputs/ on your device only. Nothing is sent off-device.

3. Technical Data

The backend server may log basic technical information locally (API paths, error messages) for debugging. This data stays on your machine and is never transmitted externally.

4. Consent Record (localStorage)

When you accept these policies, ProEnd Editor stores a consent record in your browser's localStorage — entirely on your device, never transmitted. It contains:

proend_legal_v1 — set to "accepted" once you agree.
proend_legal_v1_date — an ISO 8601 timestamp of when you accepted.

This record prevents the agreement screen from reappearing on future visits. It contains no personal data. You can clear it via your browser's site data settings, which will show the agreement again on your next visit.

If we update these policies, the key version increments (e.g. proend_legal_v2) and you will be asked to review and accept the new version before continuing.

5. Third-Party Services

The frontend loads Poppins and JetBrains Mono fonts from Google Fonts via CDN requests, subject to Google's privacy policy. No personal data or file content is included. No other third-party services are used.

6. Age-Related Privacy

ProEnd Editor is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. If a child under 13 has used this Software, please discontinue their use immediately.

7. Your Rights & Policy Changes

We hold no personal data about you. All processed files remain under your control on your local machine. You may clear the localStorage consent record at any time. When we update this policy, the version key increments and you must re-accept before continuing.

Software Copyright

ProEnd Editor, including its source code, user interface design, visual assets, and documentation, is protected by copyright law and international intellectual property treaties. Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or modification is strictly prohibited.

Permitted Uses

Running the Software on your own device for personal or internal business video editing.
Creating a single backup copy for archival purposes.
Distributing output files you created, provided you hold the necessary rights to the source media.

Prohibited Uses

Copying, reproducing, or republishing the Software's source code or interface design.
Distributing, sublicensing, selling, or renting the Software to third parties.
Creating derivative works based on the Software.
Removing or obscuring any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices.
Reverse-engineering or decompiling any part of the Software.

ProEnd Editor does not grant rights to process or distribute third-party copyrighted content without authorization.
